Reviews by Ray Jordan – The West Australian Wine Guide 2021
96 Points – Forester Estate Yelverton Reserve Cabernet 2014
“Amazing this wine is about to be released finally in 2021. It was one of the great Margaret River vintages and this has captured everything that was good about it. Ripe, fleshy and opulent fruit ladened with blackcurrant and plummy blackberry fruit. Has retained an incredible energy within such a beautiful, elegantly structured palate. Superb”
95 Points – Forester Estate Jack Out The Box Semillon 2019
“Shows what can be done with Semillon when you get serious with it. Love this wine. Lifted beeswax and vanilla pod with a smoky, grassy character. Keep looking and you will find more in there. The palate has achieved a high degree of complexity after fermentation in skins. Layered and rich. Great to see this style being pursued”
92 Points – Forester Estate Home Block Shiraz 2018
“Spicy and distinctive eucalyptus aromas on opening. These gave way to other dark fruits with breathing. Bright and lively from the first sniff through to the medium-bodied, flavoursome palate. Fine tannins have a chalky feel to highlight the vibrant fruit. Neatly integrated and pure”
90 Points – Forester Estate Chardonnay 2019
“This is a light-bodied and distinctly fruit-driven wine with a subtle infusion of oak. It has a refreshing mouthfeel, with that lively, zingy acidity and slightly minerally character. And the racy lemon zest with a nectarine edge is most appealing”
90 Points – Forester Estate Lifestyle Cabernet Merlot 2018
“This is made as an early-drinking wine that is great value for money. Early drinking, yes but it still has structure and poise, with a fine tannin and oak combo holding the fruit. Lifted perfumed confection has that slightly cab mac character. Ready to go”
